The original '72 Rear Tail Light Grilles (sometimes referred to as the Egg Cartons or Egg Crates) are notorious for breaking on the Javelin's and AMX's. After 50 years of battling the weather, these plastic covers become brittle and easy to break. And, if yours are not broken yet, they are probably pitted or the chrome has started to flake off.
Our rear tail light grilles are a perfect replacement for the originals so you can get them back to shining bright just like they rolled off the showroom floor.
Grille details: Our grilles (egg cartons) are injected from ABS plastic. After the piece is formed, they go through a metallic chrome plating process that makes them shine. The plastic material and chrome process is the exact same that is found on the AMC originals so you can be sure they will last another 50 years.
